On Straight Up, we have a few quality of life tweaks to improve the player experience without encroaching on vanilla gameplay:
- Killing a player will drop their head
- Eating a cookie prevents Phantoms from spawning for a few nights
- Typing ‘/trigger kit’ will give you a starter kit with a bed, 10 torches, and 6 bread
- Proximity chat (optional: requires client-side mod which can be downloaded here)
- Anti-cheat and anti-exploit plugins ensure the server remains stable and fair for all players
- Only 33% of players must sleep in order to make the night pass
- Before major updates, we delete chunks that have not been occupied by a player for more than a few minutes in total. This frees up unwanted chunks for new content while preserving all bases and structures built by players ( for more information on this topic)
